I. Edit File Hosts

Dengan meng’edit file hosts, iTunes tidak bisa mendownload file Restore ipsw dari server Apple.

Hasilnya seperti terlihat pada Gbr.04

A. Edit file ‘hosts’ di:

- Windows Xp, Vista, 7; letak file di:

C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

- Mac, letak file di: /private/etc/hosts

- Copas ke folder Documents sebagai backup.

- Edit file ‘hosts’ menggunakan Text editor, tambahkan pada baris paling akhir:

[127.0.0.1 appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net]

* Tanpa bracket [ ].

- Save.

B. Flush the DNS cache.

- Windows, klik Start, Run, ketik: cmd

Di prompt ketik: ipconfig /flushdns

- Mac (OSX-Leo), Run Terminal ketik:

dscacheutil -flushcache

II. File Restore ‘palsu’. (Gbr.07).

Cara ini membuat iTunes tidak bisa men’download file Restore.

Hasilnya seperti pada Gbr.06.

- Extract attachment ke Desktop, lalu pindahkan kedua file hasil extract ke:

• Windows XP:

- C:\Documents and Settings\[UserName]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates\

• Windows Vista/7:

\User\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Update\

• Mac:

[User]\Library\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates\

* Mac, Cek permission file..get info -> Owner ‘Read only’ (400) r———-

III. Kombinasi kedua cara diatas,

Selain meng’edit file ‘hosts’ juga meletakkan file download ipsw palsu.
